When you use Earth Week Bingo, we collect:

  • Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo (via Google sign-in or account registration)
  • Activity data: which bingo squares you have completed and their statuses
  • Submitted photos: images you upload as evidence of completed activities

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Authenticate your account and maintain your session
  • Display your bingo card progress
  • Allow administrators to review photo submissions and award prizes
  • Communicate challenge updates (if applicable)

3. Data Storage

Account and progress data is securely stored in our databases. Any images or assets uploaded are stored in a private content delivery network in the cloud.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except:

  • Administrators of your institution’s Earth Week challenge (for submission review)
  • Service providers necessary to operate the App (hosting, storage, authentication)
  • As required by law

5. Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not access your Google contacts, Drive, or any other Google services.

6. Cookies & Sessions

We use a secure HTTP-only cookie to maintain your login session. This cookie is essential for the App to function and does not track you across other websites. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for the duration of the Earth Week challenge and a reasonable period afterwards. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting your institution’s organizer.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Contact your institution’s Earth Week organizer to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when changes were last made.
